Project description:

The overall objective of BLOSSOM is to improve learning opportunities of adult women with low qualifications by strengthening their basic competences as literacy, numeracy and digital skills focused on business development.

BLOSSOM is for adult low-qualified women and experts, providers or policymakers in adult education.

The following results will be created and implemented by the end of the project implementation period:

Result 1.

Design and development of core skills and key competencies model needed to up-skill adult women with reference to empower women motivation for professional development and business literacy, numeracy & digital skills

Result 2.

Plan and design program for women professional growth & business Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills training for low-qualified adult women in form of TOOLKIT

Result 3.

E-Learning Platform for “BLOSSOM” training program and on-line self-assessment tool

ENTRE-FORWARD (Enhancing entrepreneurship skills) is an international project co-financed by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme; the project is implemented and developed by six organisations from six countries (Portugal, Poland, France, Italy, Spain & Greece) sharing the ultimate aim to support upskilling and raising awareness to educators, trainers and guidance practitioners in education training, employment, and the general public on the development of entrepreneurial skills.

Handbook on Entrepreneurial Training and Skills – focuses on a review and evaluation of best practices and training courses in Europe, as well as a mapping of labor market needs and entrepreneurship prospects in Europe and in partner countries.

MET-VET – Metacognition for Environmental Thinking in VET

Project description:

MET-VET will support the greening process and wider European environmental and sustainability targets and objectives by developing an innovative set of tools which support environmental awareness through a broader metacognitive knowledge and skill among VET learners, and their educators to support the role of VET centres as hugely influential educators as Europe embarks on a digital and environmental shift. Set within this context, this project will facilitate the adoption of environmental metacognition strategies, improve the environmental metacognitive abilities and positive mindset towards lifelong learning, upskill VET practitioners with knowledge of environmental metacognitive theories to provide support and the skills to train learners to adopt metacognition and raise the profile of environmental metacognitive skills as a core part of VET provision at EU and national level.

  • Result 1 Metacognition for Environmental Thinking Competence Framework
  • Result 2 “Metacognition for an Environmental Approach to VET” Learner and Facilitator MOOC – The first 15 hour MOOC and supporting CPD resources is aimed at VET practitioners.
  • Result 3 VET Reflective Digital Story Library and Creation Guide – The reflective digital story library will be the key output of the MET-VET project, as it creates an immersive, engaging and highly innovative methodology to engage VET learners.
  • Result 4 VET Metacognition Change Management Toolkit – The toolkit will provide key resources to VET centres and their leaders and governance personnel to support their teachers and learners to make a sustainable transition to the integration of environmental metacognition within their existing VET learning environment.

InterCulturalHotel – Intercultural Professional Development in Hospitality

Project description:

InterCulturalHotel project is motivated to develop a new, innovative intercultural training framework for the hospitality sector that would fit the actual needs of the hospitality professionals. It prepare them for surprises that can arise in a foreign cultural situation and plant intercultural awareness into their minds. This project will also help hotel staff create intercultural connection with guests from China or Russia whose culture and social interaction differ significantly from Western cultures. The tasks of the project implemented under the Erasmus + program will include promoting the importance of intercultural competence among employees and increasing the competitiveness of the sector in Europe.

Project Results:

  • R1: Needs analysis for prototype of teaching material and defining a training methodology – The consortium will conduct new surveys and interviews among the target groups to understand in-depth the intercultural challenges that still exist in hospitality. The results of the implemented analysis will lead to the creation of critical incidents prototypes in the principal departments of a hotel.
  • R2: Transfer of prototypes by partners: target languages and localisation /
  • contextualisation – Partners transfer the content of the prototypes into their own language and localise the information; for example, what is important for hotel Staff in their country in order to improve their skills when dealing with staff or hotel guests of a different culture?
  • R3: InterCulturalHotel Training Modules (web and mobile) – The InterCulturalHotel Training Modules will be a modular and structural implementation of the transferred prototypes in the form of an online version and a stand-alone mobile application. The training content will take advantage of various multimedia delivery methods supporting the learning process and will make use of cultural incidents prepared in the form of abovementioned scenarios/virtual tours.
  • R4: Testing/piloting/evaluation and improvement of teaching materials ­ This PR is one of the most important once as it will make sure that the end product will be of high quality. The more feedback the partnership will receive by the target group sector; the higher the quality of the online modules and the mobile app. The results of the project will be tested by target groups representatives and all feedback will be dully noted and passed on to the technical team for implementation of any malfunctions or bugs identified.

Project description:

The RetroVET project will support the fight against climate change and promote the benefits of an environmentally sustainable approach to vocational education and training through the “Green Elements”. It aims to:
– Contribute to develop and promote a green culture among VET establishments
– Close the green skills gap between VET centres that have successfully adopted green skills implementation practices, by facilitating the integration of amongst VET centres which have not embraced ICT practices
– Develop a collaborative European Green Skills VET peer mentoring and performance improvement tool/frameworK
– Capitalise on existing European vocational training networks multiplier structures and regional hubs to mainstream ICT skills change in VET centres across Europe
– Promote and facilitate green skills learning through cross-curricular collaboration and remote peer-to-peer learning amongst European VET centres, practitioners and wider stakeholders

  • R1: Best Practice Handbook on Green Skills integration– will gather and analyse best practices in the application and incorporation of the “Green Elements”: 1) Green VET Strategy, 2) Green VET Approach 3) Green VET Skills and Knowledge in VET to encourage knowledge and wider awareness of green skills within vocational learning environments, specifically amongst VET learners.
  • R2: Interactive Green VET Benchmarking Tooldesigned to measure the level of integration, willingness to adopt, level of adoption, use, skills, knowledge, barriers to implementation, of the green elements: strategy, approach and skills through criteria based on best practices already gathered in the R1
  • R3: RetroVET Platform & Matching Tool- This output will take the form of the etwinning model and will broadly align itself with the same European level mission of the etwinning platform, but for VET centre
  • R4: RetroVET Facilitator eCourse30-hour e-course and supporting CPD resources will upskill, reskill and focus VET trainers and practitioners to gain the skills and knowledge to be able to actively provide support and guidance to VET learners around green skills learning activities relating to their organisation’s specific green strategy and green approach to VET provision
