Project description
The EMotional Intelligence & Cybersecurity EnvironMents in Youth Education (EM&M) project aims to develop emotional and digital competence among young people and youth workers. In an era of rapid digitalisation and increasing online threats, the project responds to the need to build awareness of the impact of the digital environment on young people’s behaviour and emotional wellbeing, as well as to raise their awareness of cyber security.
The main objectives of the project are:
- developing emotional intelligence (empathy, self-control, emotional resilience),
- raising digital safety competences,
- supporting youth workers in their work with the 18-25 age group, often overlooked in national education strategies,
- creating innovative educational tools that combine emotional and digital aspects.
Target group
- Youth educators, youth workers, volunteers, activists and young startuppers.
- Young people aged 18-25.
- Stakeholders, including: cultural, recreational and voluntary associations offering services to young people; and incubators of innovation; youth centres; public authorities.
Project results
- R2: EM&M manual guide – A compendium of knowledge and practical guidance for youth workers, combining the topics of emotional intelligence and cyber security.
- R3: Storytelling series – A collection of short stories and scenarios inspired by real-life situations, showcasing the challenges and good practices related to emotions and online safety.
- R4: The microlearning environment – An interactive learning platform that enables self-directed learning through short, engaging modules. The environment supports an inclusive, hybrid approach to learning and promotes the development of young people’s emotional intelligence and digital competence.
