Workshop in high school in Wysoka

wysokaDSCN2786On 10th June we were in the High School named of Tadeusz Kosciuszko in Wysoka. The purpose of this visit was to conduct a workshop on violence and cyberbullying. There were already 9 workshop organized in Subcarpathian region in framework of the project CyberMentors Europe (more about the project can be read here).

The workshop was attended by 26 young people who actively participated in games and exercises and discussions with aim to share their knowledge and experience on how to protect against situations that threaten their safety, especially on the Internet. A notable result of the workshop was stimulation of the interest of participants in the protection of their privacy on social networks and the principles of network security. The workshop participants have acquired the ability to personal support of their peers. They became mentors and they gained knowledge about the risks (particularly bullying, harassment or violence) and how to deal with them will be able to pass on.

Youth also took note of the web platform available at http://www.beatbullying.org giving support to people with problems, through conversation conducted on-line. Workshops passed in a very nice atmosphere.
