Implementation period: 01.09.2023 – 31.08.2026
Project number: 101111300

Assistance program: Alliances for Innovation

Project description

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the urgent need to accelerate the deployment and market uptake of digital health technologies. Many of these innovations were developed to combat the spread of COVID-19 and now present an opportunity to revolutionize the health sector in Europe. This sector must adapt to the latest technological advancements to become more digital and sustainable. Equipping university students and graduates with entrepreneurial, digital, and green skills is crucial for driving this transformation.

Health2Innovation aims to inspire, mentor, train, and empower students and graduates through the development and execution of a dedicated, standalone, and hybrid training course focused on the skills needed by a digitally transformed health sector. This initiative brings together higher education institutions, incubators, vocational education training organizations, SMEs, and tech experts from Sweden, Germany, Portugal, Spain, France, Ireland, Greece, Cyprus, Lithuania, Poland, and Romania to exchange knowledge and best practices.

The partnership will co-design and deliver a training course targeting students and graduates in Life Sciences, Medicine, Business, Engineering, or ICT-related studies. This course will leverage each partner’s expertise and experience to enhance learners’ understanding in key areas such as digital health, data literacy, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, biotechnology, and circular economy, along with their entrepreneurial, digital, and green skills.

Health2Innovation will also develop a digital learning hub and a mobile app, and will bring to life a Health Innovation Bootcamp and an Apprenticeship program in innovative health clusters, specifically the Medicon Valley in Denmark and Sweden and the Lille Northern France Health Cluster. Through these initiatives, Health2Innovation seeks to build a robust foundation for the next generation of health sector professionals, ensuring they are well-equipped to lead and innovate in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
